The shows this weekend are the reason for celebrating. Rory brought home not one, not two but ELEVEN ribbons to add to the collection! And two of those ribbons (the blue and white ones) also meant he won his first points towards his championship! WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOO Two points and 13 more to go!
(This side is almost full. Time to start filling up the front.)
What thrilled me the most was that I handled him to those points. You see showing a dog is really a team effort. You can have the worlds most perfect dog but if you can't get him to stand right or if you run him too fast or slow around the ring you will loose. You have to know a little bit about what you are doing so you can show your dog to his advantage. Quite often I don't stand Rory correctly. I tend to hold his head too far forward. I'm learning and Rory, bless his heart, is getting better at listening in the ring. It is definitely a learning process for us both. And getting those first two points means so much to me. The beginning of realizing a dream I have had since I can't remember when. To own and show a champion Irish setter. The dream is slowly coming true!
So you see another reason to celebrate! WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO
I don't have much stitching to show. I have finished a couple of things but they haven't arrived at their new home yet. So no photos yet. I do have one that made it to its new home. My early Christmas ornament exchange on HoE/HoEII. This is the ornament I stitched and finished for Sharlotte. It is one of the small patterns from PS Winter Wind on a mystery linen using the called for DMC. (Thank you Shalotte for letting me use a copy your photo.)
Speaking of celebrations don't forget to sign up for my now multiple celebration giveaways. There are two. One is for a 25 $ gift certificate from Down Sunshine Lane and the other is for a pin pillow stitched by me. :) Your comment to enter MUST be on the this post ONLY. (click on this post to go to the correct one) Or go to the posting for May 13th. Come help me celebrate my Birthday among other things.
Again I must say thank you to all of you who leave me comments. They always make me smile and brighten up my day. You warm my heart and touch my soul.
Until next time............
Love and stitches
