Stitching Mends the Soul

At least it does mine. Does your stitching do the same for you??

I started this piece sometime last year when my Mom was hospitalized and it got put away before I actually finished it. Since I have way too many WIPs I decided I should finish a few up this year. This is number one. It is a Waxing Moon design called, what else, Stitching Mends the Soul. I used a combo of DMC and Weeks Dye works and stitched it on blue marbled DMC 14 aida. It's finished size fits an 8X10 frame or mat.

Now I have a question for all of you who read my blog and anyone else who may stumble upon it. Would you like to stitch this up for yourself? Do a little soul mending of your own? If you would like to then please leave me a comment to this posting with your blog link and/OR your email address and on February 12th I will draw a name and pass this chart on to you. All I ask is that you pass it on to someone else when you are finished. There are days when we all need a little soul mending.

And here is the piece framed and ready to hang on my wall. Another thing I am going to try and do is actually Finish my stitched pieces instead of adding them to the under-the-bed storage bin. :) One day I'll count what's in there. I just know that there are too many.

Until next time.........

Love and stitches

Kathy

This is such a perfect piece. It says it all. Great job on finishing it.
I would love to stitch this and would definitely pass it along to another for stitching. What a wonderful thing you are offering.

This chart is on my wish list so of course I would love to win it, then pass it on. Like you, I am trying to finish up some of my WIPs and have put myself on a stash diet this year. Thanks for the opportunity.

Beautiful finish and lovely framing. I dont want to be entered for the draw as it is not something I would stitch but had to leave a comment on your lovely completion.

This one says exactly what I feel, especailly after a long, hard day at the office. It relaxes me just thinking about stitching.
Very beautiful, I just love it. I would definately love to stitch this as a gift or a purchase.
Thank you

This is beautiful - and finished so well Kathy. Though I love the chart, I won't enter the draw thank you, as my timetable is so tight, and I really am 'too busy to stitch' at the moment unfortunately.

Kathy, if you ever want to stitch the little bulldog, just give me a shout. Just for the fun of it add me to the draw. Maybe I need some more soul mending. I do love her dress and I never win anything but you just never know. : )) I agree, this one must be passed around for others to heal.
