Just another Monday update

Rain, rain and more rain. That's what we've been having. The sun is finally shining but now I'm at work. I really think the damp dreary weather got to me this weekend. I don't have any stitching to show. Not a lot of progress on the WIPs I posted last week and the three starts I attempted this past weekend only have a few stitches in each. My stitching mojo is sadly missing. Nothing really got my interest enough to get into even when Rory wasn't in my lap.

Speaking of Rory. He is getting so big. I swear he grows every night and looks bigger in the morning. He is a good little boy. Most of the time.

He is getting braver and braver at chasing poor old Rosie. (She's eight years old compared to his three months.) And she has taken to hiding out in his crate! Either she thinks he hates and won't go in it unless he has to or she just likes it in there. You know, come to think of it she used to sleep in it when I had it up for my Maggie years ago.

A view of my back yard from the back.

Since I don't have any stitching to show I thought I would show you all some of the flowers that have been blooming. Many of them are already finished for the season but maybe a posting of pretty blooms will brighten someones day like they do mine.

Don't forget to enter my surprise giveaway. Leave a comment on the June 5th post to enter. I will draw the winning name on the 26th.

Until next time.............................

Love, stitches and licks

Kathy

and Rory too.

I have periods too when I just don't feel like stitching (OK, mine usually only last a day at most, LOL). This phase will pass. Your yard is beautiful, you are lucky to have so much space.

Your flowers are beautiful. Hope your stitching mojo comes back soon.

Same thing here Kathy. Raining since yesterday and I have not been stitching either. Must be because its summer and there are other things to do. Rory does seem to grow by the day. Love all your plant/flower photos and it so happens that you have an identical dogwood to mine. : )

Your yard is the kind of yard we hope to have one day...when the deer leave our part of Texas!! It's beautiful and so are your flowers:)

Awwww, Rosie is so cute sleeping in Rory's bed! My old Daffy used to do that too.

Wow Kathy, your flowers look so pretty, it must be a pleasure to sit in your back yard and just take in all the beauty. Your "fur babies" look precious too. I hope you're feeling up to stitching soon too... *Hugs* DJ

Wow, such lovely flowers!
Having 3 cats from 11 and 12, then adding a dog to the household has kept me busy for a couple of months. Now things have settled down. The cats had the funiest places to hide. It works well in the end.
I too have days that the stitching bug has gone on holidays. Don't worry, it always comes back!

The rain is definately making the flowers beautiful. Rory Looks like he got in trouble in the last picture and is trying to think of a way to blame it all on Rosie. ( See mom she took my sleeping spot and it wasn't my fault the lamp and yours stitching got broken and messed up when I was chasing her. Who knew she would hide in your baskets of stitchery.

Your flowers are great.

I'm enjoying following along on the "Adventures of Rory".

The projects from your previous posting are very pretty. I'm looking forward to seeing how Awake the Dawning Day turns out.

Thanks for the comments you have been leaving at my stitching blog.

Your flowers are gorgeous!! Sometimes when I'm not in a stitching mood for awhile, I'll go through my stash for whatever reason-weed out things I no longer want, re-organize it, whatever.. I find that going through my stash helps me feel stitchy again! :)

Rory is just so handsome! Don't cats just like the *box* or *bag* thing? I think she thinks the crate is covered and not see thru! Very pretty flowers, those pictures will make you feel better this winter when you go back and read your blog!

It's ok about not having the stitching mojo. I just lost a project I just started last friday night. Now I'm not sure if I want to start something else or not because I REALLY wanted to work on the one I lost. I love your back yard. Those flowers are absolutely beautiful!
