I've been stitching.

Poor Rory. After weeks of hot and humid weather where it was just too hot to go outside to play, we finally had a couple of gorgeous weather days. And then the rain. Rain and more rain. We are both looking forward to the dryer, cooler weather. But since it is either too hot or too wet to play outside with Rory I have been on a stitching roll. More new starts and more progress. I do have one finish to show. The exchange piece that is in it's new home.
On a rainy day like this past Sunday when I'm not in my stitching chair I'm here in the kitchen at the computer. And Rory follows me from room to room. Here is Rory stretched out under the kitchen table. Notice how he has to lay on my foot to make sure I don't try and go any where.
Progress as of Sunday on Winifred Gardner--A Stitcher's Home by Crown & Thistle.

And progress on Dandy Dreams.

Next up are three new starts! I have a severe case of startitis. Does anyone know if there is a cure? In the past week I have started a total of FIVE. (There are two more not pictured which are exchange pieces as well as these three!)

Finishes? Well, none except for this one which was my Seasonal Exchange piece that I sent to Angela. But with luck and lots of stitching time I may have another soon. I hope so because I have a couple more things I want to start.

Don't forget my Kitty giveaway. I have 11 kitty cat kits to give away to one lucky person. No gimmicks. Just leave me a comment on the previous post. Or click HERE to leave a comment. Make sure I can find your email address either on your blog or leave it in your comment.

Until next time...........................

Love and stitches
Kathy
and licks from Rory too

Your kitchen floor looks nice and cool for Rory, Grace my cat loves our downstairs bathroom on hot days, we don't get much sun in there and the slate floor is always cool, great unless you are getting out of the bath.

Love your WIPs and new starts. My fav is the Sunflower Seed Design. I love the way the verse reads.
Happy Stitching!

Poor Rory, he looks cool enough on the tile but would probably prefer to be outside. I love your finished piece and your starts look lovely!

Even with part of the challenger for WIPS I have also started a few new ones. I am working on my Lizzie Kate exchange now.
Also, an ornament for another exchange.
Love all of your starts.

All your new starts are great. Poor Rory looks so miserable cause he can't go outside and play, hope you get some nicer weather soon.

Now, Kathy, you know perfectly well there is no cure - it's a chromic condition, this startitis! I really have to buy Dandy Dreams, I've seen quite a few beautiful ones and I really love it.

Everything looks great, I especially like Dandy Dreams. I've seen this piece on a couple of blogs and it is really calling to me...which is too bad as I have startitis as well!

Aww, poor Rory! Yes, the weather has just been terrible, hasn't it? We lucked out on Tuesday with the weather clearing and it being pleasant for my DD's birthday. I bet poor Rory is bored. :(

Love all the stitching! New starts are so much fun!

Love the Rory story! My Spyro does the same thing...he is laying right behind me, right now. The picture I stitched of him was taken while he laid by the computer chair!!

I have Winifred Gardner and Dandy Dreams languishing in my stash too! But I don't think I have seen Her Majesty and the Hope pieces, and I do believe they are going on my 'list' of must haves!! You have good taste!! Hugs to you and Rory!

That is so sweet how Rory follows you from room to room--my old cat used to do that, too. I really miss his company...

Your stitching and new starts look wonderful, Kathy--especially love the BBD design! And that little sailboat piece is so pretty for summer--I'm sure Angela loves it!

Oh dear, the weather hasn't been too cooperative lately has it? Poor Rory and poor you! But I'm impressed that you've put your time indoors to good use! Your stitching is just lovely!! I've had a bad case of startitis myself, but have refrained so far from doing anything about it. Soon though...very soon! Give Rory a pat for me! *Hugs*

Do you think rain and dreary weather have an effect on that startitis? May...be! :-) I say there's great progress on each of the starts, though, so great job! Hope the sun comes out with less humidity for you and Rory!
